Has anyone run high-resolution CROCO models (1/100° or finer) in the Malacca Strait around Klang River delta or Jamaica’s coastal waters near Kingston Bay?
Our research group at the Ocean Cleanup is planning a Lagrangian study to assess how river interceptors could reduce plastic pollution transport from these river systems to coastal areas. We need fine-scale resolution to capture nearshore circulation patterns and river plume dynamics that control plastic debris pathways.
If you have experience with high-resolution models in these regions, we’d appreciate any insights on model configurations, forcing datasets, or lessons learned. Also interested in potential collaboration opportunities.
