I am trying to set up a simulation for which the surface forcing is specified using bulk formulas. I noticed that the Matlab script used to create the bulk forcing file ‘create_bulk.m’ defines both wind stress (sustr, svstr) and wind speed (uwnd,vwnd). If I understand it correctly, when the ‘bulk_flux’ cpp is turned on, the model computes wind stress from wind speed using a bulk formula. If so, does it mean that the wind stress defined in ‘create_bulk.m’ is not used?
