Dear CROCO Users,
We are excited to announce the next CROCO User Meeting, to be held in the vibrant city of Marseille from Sept 29th to Oct 2nd 2025 .
This event aims to gather the CROCO community and foster meaningful interactions among its members including but not limited to developers, advanced users and students.
We welcome contributions from all applicants, and PhD candidates and postdocs are especially encouraged to present their work on a wide range of topics related to regional oceanography, air-sea interactions, near-shore processes as well as the latest developments in ocean modeling and parameterizations, high performance computing, etc. We also welcome presentations that address the role of high-performance computing and modeling in tackling the pressing challenge of carbon emissions.
Meeting Highlights:
- Presentations by the core developers providing updates on the latest model developments and advances.
- Keynote talks by external speakers.
- Opportunities for user contributions through standard presentations and flash talks.
- Topics include any activities with CROCO, ranging from applications to methodological developments.
- Round table discussion
- Social event + dinner
Practical Information:
- Registration Fee: ~€50 (discount for students).
- Important Note: Missions and travel expenses are not covered.
- Official registration will open next spring, and a reminder email will be sent out closer to the date.
